Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Care - Travel Position (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)
Location: San Francisco, CA Job Type:Travel Contract Duration:13 weeks Shift:4x10 Days Pay:$2,746/week(plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Summary The Ambulatory Care RN provides nursing care to patients in outpatient settings, including clinics, physician offices, and specialty care centers. This role focuses on patient assessment, education, and coordination of care for individuals undergoing diagnostic procedures, treatments, or routine follow-up visits.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments, including vital signs and health history.
Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
Assist with minor procedures and diagnostic tests in an outpatient setting.
Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and follow-up care.
Coordinate care and referrals between providers and community resources.
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient education accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Support physicians and advanced practice providers during patient visits.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
Licensure:
Current RN license in [State].
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; ambulatory or outpatient experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Proficiency in EHR systems and documentation.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients during procedures.
Manual dexterity for administering medications and performing nursing tasks.
