Senior Product Manager – KeepStock
Grainger’s KeepStock is an onsite inventory management solution that keeps critical items available while reducing inventory investment and operational effort. As a Senior Product Manager, you will define strategy, vision, and roadmap for core KeepStock capabilities, enabling inventory management at scale across customer sites. You will work closely with engineering, UX, analytics, and operations partners to deliver software‑driven workflows and decisioning that improve customer outcomes. The role reports to the Director, Product Management and is hybrid, based out of the Chicago, IL office. Responsibilities
Own the product strategy and roadmap for core KeepStock capabilities, focusing on scalable workflows that improve on‑shelf availability, inventory investment, and operational efficiency. Partner with Operations, engineering, UX, and analytics to translate field workflows and constraints into clear product requirements, prioritization, and measurable outcomes. Define and evolve decisioning approaches—rules, thresholds, exception handling, and data inputs—that support consistent execution across a diverse set of customer sites. Identify and prioritize customer and internal needs; translate them into a product roadmap and specifications that guide iterative delivery. Lead agile delivery teams through structured execution, providing business context and aligning partners on scope, tradeoffs, and success metrics. Lead launch planning and change management across stakeholders, including readiness, training/enablement needs, and post‑launch performance monitoring. Use data to assess product performance, surface insights, and drive continuous improvement; communicate updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, analytical, or business field; Master’s degree preferred. 7+ years of product management experience delivering data‑intensive products, owning outcomes end‑to‑end. Experience in supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or operations‑focused domains with strong quantitative skills. Strong technical fluency and analytical tooling: working understanding of APIs, services, data models, and experience using SQL, Excel, or dashboards. Strong communication skills through structured documentation, data‑driven recommendations, and clarity in stakeholder communication. Ability to function with ambiguity and within a matrix organization and operate on a tight schedule. Problem‑solving, planning, and creative time‑management skills with high ownership and urgency.
