Job Description As an Associate Color Assist, you will work closely with senior colorists and producers to deliver color-graded media to client and internal finish satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage client turnovers (EDLs, XMLs AAFs and associated media)
Prepare timelines for senior colorists
Render graded media for final conform and/or delivery
Render color stills and QuickTime’s for client approval
100% QC of all deliverables
Coordinate delivery of all graded elements
Discuss internal workflows on pre production meetings at the start of jobs.
Communicate directly with editorial team, color producer and senior colorist’s throughout project, keeping all parties updated with project developments as they occur
Explore and apply AI tools to enhance creative workflows, from generating fresh content ideas to streamlining production tasks, while staying curious about emerging technologies that shape the future of storytelling
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience as a coordinator/Associate Color Assist in post-production environment
Knowledge of professional post-production workflows
Understanding of color theory, motion picture camera formats, resolutions, framerates, and codecs
Experience with digital compression and conversion techniques
Basic knowledge of Baselight and DaVinci Resolve software
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
Mac, Linux, and Windows OS proficiency
