Position Tasks
Perform moderately complex system analyses necessary to implement required application, system, or solution (30%)
Configure, develop, and/or instantiate required applications, systems or solutions (35%)
Document and communicate application (or module) functional specifications and revised solutions (15%)
Assist in application/system testing and troubleshooting (10%)
Participate in functional unit, research, technical and staff team meetings (5%)
Other duties as assigned (5%)
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in information technologies or equivalent experience with at least 4 years of experience in the field or related experience.
3+ years of business or systems analyses experience
3+ years of experience with systems implementation including configuration of application modules, process workflows, and application-specific coding
Working knowledge of business processes related to higher education and/or research.
Certifications in relational database and web technologies – preferred

Desired Computer Skills
Familiar with relational database concepts and tools including SQL and SQL developer tools.
Experience with web application and client/server application concepts including web server/application server architecture, APIs and HTML / XML / JSON.
Knowledge of project management
Ability to utilize normal Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Teams)
Ability to use Visual Code Studio and code repositories (e.g., GitHub, VSS, etc.)
Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs)
Experience with or knowledge of end‑user application roles and/or security classes
Experience with application query tools and report writers
Experience with workflow engines
