In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.The selected candidate will support funded projects involving radar processing and the application of estimation and detection theory to novel problems.* **Innovative Projects:** KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.* **Collaborative Environment:** Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.* **Impactful Work:** Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.**Key Responsibilities:*** **Apply Expertise:** Apply estimation, detection, tracking, and classification expertise to develop solutions to urgent and important problems in the radar systems domain* **Develop Algorithms:** Develop new estimation-theoretic algorithms and implement them in software (MATLAB, Python)* **Enhance Code:** Enhance and extend existing code bases to process data from new sensor systems* **Brief Customers:** Prepare and present briefings to current and prospective customers* **Travel:** Work with a flexible schedule and be willing to travel to accommodate customer priorities**Work Environment:*** **Location:** On-site* **Travel Requirements:** Minimal 0-20%* **Working Hours:** Flexible**Qualifications:****Required:*** **Clearance:**Active TOP SECRET security clearance* **Education:**Master’s degree and at least five years’ experience, or PhD degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics* **Experience:**Programming experience in MATLAB & Python* **Work Style:**Ability to work independently and in a team environment* **Communication Skills:**Strong oral and written communication skills**Desired:*** **Clearance:** Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility* **Radar Experience:**Understanding of and experience with radar systems and processing* **Customer Interaction Skills:**Ability to effectively interact with customers to convey results of work and develop new projectsBelong, Connect and Grow at KBR
