The purpose of this position is to serve as an Associate Engineer for our Broadcast IT engineering department during live productions as well as facilitate day-to-day operations, including incident response, service requests, troubleshoot systemic problems, inventory documentation, and training. The areas of responsibility include studios, production control rooms, record and playout servers, augmented and virtual reality systems, remote production (REMI), artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies, all within two state-of-the-art SMPTE 2110 native facilities for linear and OTT streaming services. This position requires problem solving skills, technical depth, and operational knowledge. This role may require shift work with occasional weekend and holiday shifts. Travel between WBD sites may be required. The skill set demanded is dynamic and will change rapidly; the individual must adapt with a positive attitude. Your Role Accountabilities

Associate Engineer responsible for technical success of WBD live and taped events. Assist on-site Engineer-in-Charge for broadcast productions such as CNN’s prime time lineup, Bleacher Reports live productions, and other news, entertainment and sporting events. Serve as a technology point person for studio and production control room productions. Provide tier 2 support, including troubleshooting the wiring of studio cameras, set monitors, audio, lighting and ethernet connections on set or in production spaces. Staff Knowledge Sharing – participate in on-site and remote training on technical systems used for day-to-day operation and responsibilities; clearly communicate amongst team and production staff; create or update documentation for equipment inventory, status and workflows. Customer Service – work with partners to satisfy needs and requests; gather information for Engineering team; cultivate cooperative relationships to ensure technical and operational readiness; provide daily reporting related to operational issues and/or air-impacting events. Assist in executing the development, testing and implementation of new systems, software and equipment; create and maintain documentation; follow up with appropriate parties to ensure resolution; with guidance from Lead and Senior Engineers, implement production technology system repairs or upgrades. Qualifications & Experiences

1+ years of experience in television, multimedia content, or broadcast maintenance A four-year engineering degree (or equivalent work experience in Live Broadcast engineering field) Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and repair broadcast and computer equipment Basic understanding of audio/video signal flow and routing Knowledge of computer desktop hardware/applications and data networking Desirable Requirements (Not Mandatory)

Knowledge of Intercom Systems used in production environments Basic understanding of SMPTE 2110, Evertz Routing Systems and Magnum Control CCNA Certification or Networking background Cloud technologies How We Get Things Done

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $59,507.00 - $110,512.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. Warner Bros.
