Technology Business Unit
supports clients through digital operations and organizational transformation adapted to their culture and working methods. We help clients strategize and scale by leveraging deep expertise and solutions in compliance and risk management, strategic technology partnerships, data science, operations and business analysis and mergers and acquisitions.
Sia’s Managing Directors (MDs) are pivotal leaders who drive the firm’s strategic direction and long-term success. They are accountable for accelerating business growth through business development, client relationship management, consulting delivery, and team leadership.
This MD should have expertise in the technology sector, with an emphasis on tech, media, and telecommunications, specifically Microsoft. They should possess a refined understanding of the underlying technology and software engineering relevant to the sector and be capable of leading teams across all levels and areas of expertise.
Candidates are required to bring any combination of experience across digital and business transformation, cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure), AI and automation, or risk and compliance. A deep understanding of these domains, along with a strong sales network and proven success driving growth within the tech ecosystem will enable this individual to build and expand the firm’s business in this space.
Responsibilities Consulting Delivery
MDs are expected to lead by example in client delivery, maintaining active billability and directly contributing to revenue through hands‑on engagement.
Annual revenue from personal client delivery is required, demonstrating both subject matter expertise and a commitment to high‑impact execution.
Business Expertise
Serve as primary driver in identifying, cultivating, and securing new client relationships and strategic engagements to accelerate revenue growth and market presence.
Represent Sia’s core capabilities and domain expertise with credibility and depth, providing clients with high‑value insights and thought leadership.
Play a pivotal role in shaping and launching innovative market‑relevant consulting solutions that align with client needs and position Sia for long‑term success.
Business Development MDs are responsible for driving substantial revenue growth. They are expected to:
Define, build, and manage the end‑to‑end business development and go‑to‑market strategy for one or more client accounts or segments of accounts.
Originate new business annually through proactive client acquisition and relationship expansion.
Manage annual revenue through oversight of existing client engagements and strategic account management.
People Leadership and Team Development
Provide strategic direction, oversight, and mentorship to project teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery and alignment with client objectives.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across engagements and internal initiatives.
Attract, develop and retain top talent by actively coaching team members, supporting professional growth, and contributing to performance management.

Provide guidance and inspiration to consultants

Qualifications
Currently based in Greater Seattle area with an extensive local network.
9+ years of management consulting experience, with a focus on Technology clients.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven ability to lead and execute sales/business development efforts to support and mature existing client relationships and revenue growth.
Proven record of accomplishment and ability to generate new clients and consulting delivery, while developing and maturing new client relationships and opportunities.
Passionate about providing guidance and coaching delivery teams.
