Role & Responsibilities
Administer Power BI Service / Microsoft Fabric and Tableau Cloud, including support for legacy Tableau Server environments.
Manage workspaces, sites, projects, permissions, RLS/OLS, certification, refresh schedules, and data connectivity (On-premises Data Gateway / Tableau Bridge).
Monitor platform health, capacity, usage, and costs; troubleshoot incidents and performance issues.
Develop and maintain administration, health, and adoption dashboards.
Build and review semantic models, datasets, dataflows, dashboards, and reports across Power BI and Tableau.
Define and enforce standards for data modeling, performance optimization, accessibility, and visualization best practices.
Partner with analysts to provide enablement, documentation, and training.
Lead the Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud migration, including content inventory and cleanup, identity and permissions mapping, Tableau Bridge configuration, cutover planning, and execution.
Implement GitHub integration for Power BI (pbip), supporting CI/CD through branching strategies, pull requests, deployment pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
Collaborate with Security and IT on BI governance, including sensitivity labels, DLP policies, auditing, and access controls.
Ensure platforms meet organizational security, compliance, and data protection standards.
Core Skills & Qualifications
Power BI & Microsoft Fabric:
Strong experience in Power BI administration and development, including DAX, Power Query (M), semantic models, datasets, dataflows, deployment pipelines, and XMLA endpoint familiarity. Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, OneLake concepts, Dataflows Gen2, and awareness of Lakehouse and Warehouse architectures. Basic experience with Power Platform for BI use cases (Power Automate integrations, environment management, DLP awareness).
Tableau:
Proven Tableau administration experience across Tableau Cloud and Tableau Server, including sites, projects, permissions, extracts, and schedules. Hands‑on experience building Tableau dashboards and data sources. Direct experience migrating Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud, including use of Tableau Bridge for on‑premises data connectivity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting enterprise‑scale BI platforms and multiple business domains.
Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
Familiarity with cloud cost management and capacity optimization.
