As we scale rapidly, we are seeking a strategic and operational leader to serve as our CFO, helping drive financial performance, capital strategy, risk management, and reporting as Billor enters its next phase of growth (including potential IPO readiness).
The CFO will be a core member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO and business unit heads across logistics, fintech, and operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, experience in scale‑up/high‑growth companies (preferably in fintech, logistics or trucking), and the ability to build and lead high performing finance teams and processes. This is a hands‑on role: you’ll lead the finance organization, set up scalable processes, own reporting, investor relations support, capital markets readiness, and steer the company’s financial strategy.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the financial strategy of Billor, aligned with the company’s mission to empower driver‑entrepreneurs and scale the business across freight, leasing, fintech and tech platforms.
Lead financial planning & analysis (FP&A) including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and long‑range planning. Provide insights to the leadership team on growth levers, margin improvement, capital efficiency and ROI.
Oversee accounting, controllership, financial reporting (US GAAP), internal controls, audit readiness and compliance. Ensure the finance organization is built for scale (processes, systems, governance).
Set the capital strategy: manage relationships with investors, lenders, leasing partners, and banks; lead financial due diligence, liquidity planning, debt & equity structure, and support M&A, strategic investments or IPO readiness.
Partner with operations, logistics, and technology functions to embed financial discipline and metrics into decision making: e.g. driver economics, lease‑to‑own truck ROI, asset utilization, fintech product profitability, cost of capital, etc.
Monitor and manage enterprise risk: financial, operational, regulatory. Ensure business continuity, insurance, hedging strategies (if applicable), and finance‑driven risk mitigation.
Provide leadership to the finance team: recruit, develop and mentor finance professionals; build a culture of high performance, accountability and strategic thought‑leadership within finance.
Communicate financial results, strategy and risk to key stakeholders: Board of Directors (or soon to be), investors, executive team. Prepare dashboards, investor packs, board materials and road‑shows as needed.
Drive continuous improvement: adopt and implement financial systems (ERP, BI, data‑analytics), automation, and best practices supporting rapid scaling.
Support pricing strategy, cost structure optimization, business model refinement and identify new business lines / geographies from a financial lens.
