Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Data Analytics Specialist to join our Vertex Manufacturing Center Automation Engineering and Digital Strategy team on a contract basis. This role is critical in supporting the delivery of internal manufacturing data analytics projects by bridging the gap between end users and the technical data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical manufacturing systems and processes, as well as expertise in data governance, analytics tools, and user interface design.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with end users to understand business needs and gather detailed requirements for manufacturing data analytics projects.
Translate user requirements into clear, actionable documentation for the data engineering technical team.
Data Analytics Project Support:
Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data solutions.
Support the design and development of user-friendly interfaces for data visualization and reporting.
Data Governance and Documentation:
Implement and maintain data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Document data products and workflows using tools such as
Collibra
or similar platforms.
Technical Expertise:
Leverage expertise in
Snowflake data warehouse
and
SQL database design
to support data modeling and analytics.
Develop and maintain
Power BI dashboards
to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a key translator between end users and the technical project team, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
Provide training and support to end users on data analytics tools and solutions.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of industrial experience.
Proven experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing systems and processes is required.
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in
Snowflake data warehouse
and
SQL database design .
Proficiency in
Power BI
for data visualization and reporting.
Experience with data governance and documentation tools such as
Collibra .
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly language.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with other data analytics tools and platforms.
Experience in Agile project management methodologies.
Contract Length:
12 months with the chance for extension.
Pay Range $65/hr - $75/hr.
Shift/Hours Monday-Friday.
