Role Overview Lockheed Martin Space, Specialty Engineering, is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer Lead, Staff (Level IV) in the Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) Standardization group. You’ll lead a team in a range of projects that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. You’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to drive selection of preferred PMP and maintain accurate PMP requirements in the engineering tools (PMPDB, EPDM, ERP). Working side by side with PMP subject matter experts, laboratory operations, procurement, receiving inspection and PMP manufacturers you’ll develop requirements to fulfill product schedule, cost and performance requirements.

Summary of Key Duties

Become a subject matter expert in the engineering design tools and be able to recommend and evaluate tool enhancements

Perform data maintenance for Parts and Specification in the PMP Database and EPDM

Drive space preferred PMP selection, factoring in need and cost and ensuring the attainment of design objectives

Support subject matter experts and PMP Database users with recommended solutions to data issues

Coordinate, organize, and work on projects to support engineering design tools

Work as a PMP Database point of contact in the PMAPSCO documentation process to flow document changes into the PMP Database and EPDM

Evaluate technical and economic factors, recommending engineering and manufacturing actions by applying knowledge of EEE parts and mechanical parts

Basic Qualifications

Experience managing PMP (Parts, Materials, and Processes) on a program

Experience managing Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) parts performance requirements and specifications

Experience with mechanical parts performance requirements and specifications

Desired Skills

Experience guiding the successful completion of significant projects and/or multi‑discipline team efforts by applying technical knowledge and leadership skills

Experience in a laboratory environment

Documentation engineering experience: plans, directs and coordinates preparation of documentation to balance technical, cost and schedule needs

Advanced proficiency in software tools such as MS Office (Access, Excel, Project), SAP, is a plus

Familiar with using business tools and systems for configuration management and quality control (e.g. SAP, EPDM, PMPDB, LIMS)

Experience using EXCEL pivot tables for data reporting

Knowledge of relational databases

Experience maintaining and manipulating SharePoint sites

Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills

Experience working collaboratively with customers and teammates with a customer focus

Ability to Work Remotely Onsite Full‑time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.

Schedule for this Position 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
