Analytics Specialist We are seeking a highly skilled
Analytics Specialist
with extensive experience in
data engineering, analytics, visualization, and data warehousing . The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions, driving business insights, and optimizing processes through automation and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain
data engineering pipelines ,
data marts , and
data warehousing solutions
using
Snowflake ,
SQL Server , and
SAP Hana .
Create and optimize
interactive dashboards and reports
using
Tableau
and
Power BI , including advanced custom visualizations (e.g., spider charts, dynamic dimension views).
Lead
end-to-end SDLC activities : requirement gathering, feasibility analysis, stakeholder management, effort estimation, and project planning.
Perform
sales and bookings data analysis
across multiple hierarchies (product, customer, distributor, partner) to generate actionable insights for business executives.
Automate reporting processes and
reduce manual efforts
through innovative solutions (e.g., automated PPT generation from Tableau dashboards).
Conduct
performance tuning
for dashboards, SQL queries, and stored procedures to improve efficiency.
Develop and deploy
ETL processes ,
SSAS cubes , and database objects across development, staging, and production environments.
Troubleshoot
data discrepancies , resolve SQL Server locking issues, and monitor SQL Agent jobs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver
quarterly business review presentations
and strategic insights.
Ensure
secure data sharing
and compliance with organizational standards.
Required Skills & Certifications
Technical Expertise:
Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), SAP Hana.
Certifications:
Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft SQL Server Querying Certified.
Strong knowledge of
data architecture ,
ETL processes , and
data validation .
Proficiency in
performance tuning
and
query optimization .
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
automating reporting workflows
and saving significant manual effort.
Proven ability to deliver
business growth solutions
(e.g., revenue maximization, partner activation).
Hands-on experience with
custom visualization development
in Tableau.

The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 – $139,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
