Embedded Developer, Senior Are you looking to put your problem‑solving prowess to the test in a rapidly evolving systems security research and development environment? You know that embedded application developers, reverse engineers, and vulnerability analysts all play key roles in the capability development lifecycle. As an embedded developer, you’ll have the opportunity to use skills in C or C++ and assembly language, scripting language, debugging, computer architectures, and networking protocols to support our government intelligence clients. We’re looking for someone like you to have a direct impact on the nation’s security.

On our team, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of software projects, technical capabilities, and product design. Working on an agile team of experts, you’ll perform reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of software problems. You’ll inform operational parameters for complex systems, as well as leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to influence the delivery of your work. You’ll determine what the art of the possible is – what can be done – and then you’ll bring it to life for your clients.

You Have:

12+ years of experience with software development using C, C++, or proprietary languages

6+ years of experience with embedded platforms such as Linux, Unix, Android, and VxWorks

Experience with configuration, administration, and development with virtual environments such as VMware or ESXi, OpenStack, Open vSwitch, and QEMU

Experience with embedded platforms such as Linux, Unix, Android, and VxWorks

Experience with software reverse engineering or debugging tools such as IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or gdb

Experience with assembly language development or reversing

Knowledge of low‑level systems programming concepts

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

Experience with vulnerability analysis and exploit development

Experience with Python

Experience with Assembly

Experience with memory‑safe low‑level programming such as Rust

Knowledge of telecommunications

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
