R5627As a Director of Business Development, you will manage public relations for the branch through events, networking, and various other means while complying with state, federal, industry, and organizational guidelines.Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:* Build partnerships with external agencies, establishments and departments that implement information programs and events.* Identify main client groups and audiences, determine the best way to communicate publicity information to them, and develop and implement a communication plan.* Lead the monthly production meeting* Collaborate with the Branch marketing team to develop and maintain the company's corporate image and identity, which includes the use of logos and signage.* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, government officials, and media representatives and use these relationships to develop new business opportunities.* Inform veterans of the VA home loan benefit through various community engagement efforts such as lunch and learns, seminars, and attending realtor/third party events.* Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed.We’re looking for someone who can be passionate about their job and have fun doing it, who will deliver results with integrity, and who enjoys finding ways to enhance the lives of others every day.We’ll also want to know you can demonstrate these attributes:* Mortgage experience, Loan Originator preferred* Self starter* Strong organizational skills* Be able to track daily activity* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)* Ability to motivate and encourage a high-performing diverse team* Effective communication and conflict resolution* Thrive in a highly cooperative work setting* Exemplary customer service skills* Ability to translate technical language into general terms* 2-3 years of previous customer service experience* Experience with sales and/or public relations* Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company* Regular and predictable attendance* NMLS licensed or become licensed upon employmentWe’re all about helping Veterans and military families become homeowners.
