Play a leading role in datacenter site selection and technical due diligence at Amazon. You will lead technical site due diligence projects, partnering with stakeholders across the AWS infrastructure organization, to shape the future of AWS’ infrastructure growth and investments. You will play a key role in site selection and site due diligence for new and existing AWS regions. Responsibilities include scoping technical studies, overseeing engineering and technical consultancies, analyzing inter-relationships between disciplines, coordinating with stakeholders, and interpreting analysis results for site acquisition, design, and technology recommendations. You will evaluate site risks and constraints impacting costs and schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in technical program management, delivering multiple projects, driving team alignment, and advocating for risk management. Key responsibilities
Guiding AWS infrastructure expansion through technical risk analysis and due diligence assessments. Managing infrastructure site selection and due diligence projects using standard approaches and processes. Supervising engineering, environmental, and technical studies, interpreting results. Managing budgets, schedules, risks, and making trade-offs based on business priorities. Owning preliminary site design, assessing real estate, engineering, environmental, policy, and business considerations, and making technical and business recommendations. About The Team

The team includes diverse roles such as engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. 5+ years of technical program or project management experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience Experience in multidisciplinary concept/preliminary design Background in civil engineering, architecture, environmental sciences, or similar fields Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading technical workstreams for infrastructure projects Licensed professional engineer or architect, or equivalent certification Master's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
