Data Scientist II

to support a DoD customer based in

San Diego, CA . Responsibilities

Work on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a program and perform all functional duties independently. Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Develop and implement techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. Create dynamic data reports. Perform software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts. Use scripting languages such as Python and R, along with relevant packages. Qualifications Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a closely related field. OR Associate's Degree in the same fields with 4 years of additional relevant experience. Minimum three (3) years of relevant focused experience. Relevant Industry Certifications

CompTIA Cloud Essentials, Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA), Certificate of Cloud Security (CCSK), CompTIA A+, Security+, EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA), Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCDH), Certified Apache Hadoop Developer, Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE)/Private Cloud. Experience and Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and in teams. Ability to learn and apply technical concepts. Experience with scripting languages like Python and R, and data science packages. Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, and graph algorithms. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with API building, ETL pipelines, web application servers, or search indexes. Experience with programming tools such as Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests. Ability to apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts. Experience with statistical and operations research methods. Additional Details
