Description
The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Front Office Admin Support to join the UCLA Medical Psychology Assessment Clinic (MPAC). The clinic offers psychological and neuropsychological assessment and testing of children and adults. You will manage patient referrals (from intake to discharge) and perform administrative tasks. Primary duties include:
Managing referral work queue
Electronic management of patient date in dynamic database (ACCESS)
Managing scheduling of appointments
Fielding calls from community providers
Front desk duties (greet guests, answer phones, check-in patients, collect co-pays, etc.)
Registering and sending paperwork packets to patients
Organizing and file data
Other administrative duties as assigned
Salary: $26.42/hr - $37.49/hr
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic medical and psychiatric terminology
Working knowledge of Medi-Cal, HMO's, PPOs, third party payers etc., authorization and eligibility requirements and regulations
Experience with CareConnect (preferred)
Knowledge and/or experience working in mental health (preferred)
Proficiency of Microsoft Access, Word, Windows, Outlook, etc.
Experience with cash handling/financial transactions
Knowledge of various departments, patient related policies and procedures, and University services and programs (preferred)
