Position Details Start Pay:
$19 per hour
Shift:
Sunday – Thursday, starting at 5 am until finished
Location:
1200 Cassville White Rd., White, GA 30184
Position Purpose The Forklift Operator transports incoming freight to inventory from staging areas for storage on the multi‑level racks in the assigned warehouse area and replenishes pick slots in a timely manner, ensuring all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Locate proper storage slots, set pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items, enter product data and location into the system.
Count check incoming freight in the staging area and transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders; rotate date‑sensitive stock and remove outdated inventory.
Disperse over‑stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.
Follow all company work methods, safety policies and procedures.
Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
Prepare for operations by reviewing the work schedule, performing safety checks on equipment, and gathering required supplies.
Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
Work from receiving sheets, computer print‑out, and established procedures; inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take appropriate action.
Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area as needed.
Replace batteries requiring recharging and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
6+ months of stand‑up reach forklift experience
Ability to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime
Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
Ability to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves weighing between 10–35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds
Ability to work in multi‑temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer, and dry conditions
Compensation $19.00 per hour.
