Maintenance Technician 1 Location: 201 Rainmaker Drive, Mashantucket CT 06338, United States

Pay: $22

This maintenance technician oversees day-to-day engineering operations in the lodge, including project management, general life safety, ordering, vendor coordination, and preventive maintenance across hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings & grounds.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.

Identify, locate, and operate all shut‑off valves for equipment and all utility shut‑offs for buildings.

Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.

Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.

Ensure that all work performed is conducted safely and timely, adhering to safety standards and effective equipment utilization.

Maintain working knowledge of departmental safety procedures; attend safety‑training programs and in‑service as required for continued development.

Maintain the necessary service records on mechanical and structural systems.

Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping and safety, including ensuring all daily, weekly and monthly documentation is completed.

Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Assistant Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent training.

Industry-relevant certification.

Hospitality, healthcare, or related industry experience.

Preferred certifications in HVAC and/or electrical.

Physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance; heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Ability to move up and down stairs, ramps, or ladders; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet using ladders, harnesses, and lifts.

Computer skills, including database software, internet software, order processing systems, Microsoft Office suite.

Valid driver’s license.

Estimated Salary Range $22 annual base salary.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue‑based metrics, contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package; other rewards may include annual bonuses, a paid time off policy, and other perks.
