Position Responsibilities
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain facilities and equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material‑handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Ensure that student workers and staff maintain cleanliness of Center grounds and surrounding areas.
Ensure that equipment used in outdoor maintenance is kept clean and in proper working order.
Ensure that students assigned to outdoor maintenance are present and accounted for each period.
Ensure that students assigned to outdoor maintenance complete and receive training according to curriculum.
May purchase maintenance/repair materials as directed.
Mow lawns, clear driveways and sidewalks of snow, and use appropriate material to safeguard against slipping on ice. Coordinate these activities with student workers.
Inspect facilities and initiate corrective action to eliminate deficiencies.
Provide technical support to other maintenance personnel.
Comply with technical operating manuals for equipment and machines.
Prioritize daily work orders according to need and assign staff to complete.
Position Description
Maintain a log of work orders and coordinate with students’ work orders.
Perform daily inspection of buildings and student work to identify safety needs.
Monitor assigned activities for students to ensure that high‑quality work is performed.
Work toward meeting performance standard goals.
Adhere to required property‑control policies and procedures.
Follow the CDSS plan and Standards of Conduct system.
Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices.
Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Bizzell policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
Demonstrate and abide by The Bizzell Group’s core values and operating principles.
Model, mentor, and monitor appropriate Career Success Standards.
Help students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Computer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledge of crafts skills such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, landscaping, painting, etc.
Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.
Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
Experience
Two to three years maintenance experience required.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid State Driver’s License.
