The Business Analyst (BA) within the Office of Strategic Innovation (OSI) is an analytic and client-facing role that supports the successful delivery of industry-facing research and data collaborations. This role works across clinical AI, real-world evidence (RWE), and health services research projects to ensure structured problem-solving, high-quality deliverables, and reliable project execution.

OSI partners with investigators, data teams, and external stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into clear analytic requirements, validate results, and produce partner-ready outputs. This position is ideal for an early-career professional with consulting, analytics, or research coordination experience who thrives in both structured analysis and client-facing collaboration.

This role is preferred to be onsite at least two to three days per week in Indianapolis. Fully remote work may be considered. Key Responsibilities Structured Project Initiation

Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions with investigators and external partners to define scopes, requirements, and action plans.

Break complex problems into manageable steps and identify decision points.

Develop clean, concise slide decks, memos, analytic briefs, and project summaries for stakeholders.

Ensure interim deliverables meet partner-facing quality standards and reflect OSI’s Q à A Sprint engagement model, with structured cadence of research team review.

Applied Analytics

Support investigators, researchers, and data teams in clarifying analytic requirements and confirming alignment with project goals.

Interpret datasets and analytic results to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for external use.

Package data feasibility outputs into partner-ready summaries (counts, completeness, caveats) before investigators review for sign‑off.

Synthesize raw analytical results into narratives that highlight insights, implications, and next steps.

Engagement Management

Conduct pre‑delivery quality checks of all external-facing outputs for clarity, narrative coherence, and alignment with OSI brand standards, ahead of review by researchers.

Own the end‑to‑end tracking and coordination of all OSI data requests. Maintain a live log that monitors status with appropriate internal checkpoints and escalations.

Manage day‑to‑day Q à A sprint management, including huddles, decision logs, and milestone monitoring.

Proactively identify risks or bottlenecks and communicate mitigation plans routinely.

Maintain the OSI implementation playbook: ensure consistent application across projects.

Strategic Communication

Curate examples of past Q à A sprints to support communication of OSI’s capabilities.

Apply a client‑service mindset that anticipates questions and ensures OSI presents a cohesive voice.

Continuously deepen expertise relevant to live and prospective OSI engagements, particularly around clinical applications of AI and real‑world research.

Requires excellent communication skills, including ability to translate technical findings into concise, actionable narratives for diverse research and industry audiences.
