Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) – 2nd Shift
Location: Syracuse, New York
Shift: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm (2nd Shift)
Hourly Rate: $39.04 per hour
We are seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) to join Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division located in Syracuse, New York. The candidate will work the 2nd Shift, perform maintenance and repair duties on CNC equipment, and collaborate closely with the production team.
We’re looking for a candidate who can…
Tear down, diagnose, and repair damaged electrical or mechanical components on CNC machines.
Have a basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode).
Adjust equipment to meet required specifications and verify proper operation.
Check machine cycle sequences, identify malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs using machine repair theory and electrical theory.
Perform electrical test operations and troubleshoot defective printed circuit assembly boards.
Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals, and testing procedures.
Handle additional electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
Detect and report any unusual conditions to proper supervision.
Use good judgment to follow instructions or prescribed routines and make sound decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years documented CNC repair/maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade.
Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading.
Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years CNC repair/maintenance experience.
Background in machining and electrical equipment.
Two‑year degree in electronics with mechanical experience or military electronics experience.
Experience with hydraulics.
