A Day in the Life:
The Operator Trainee is responsible for learning and overseeing multiple functions of the soybean processing facility. This role is also responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture withing the site, continually improve the site’s food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
12-hour rotating shifts: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am

What You’ll Be Doing:
Follow HACCP procedures and guidelines to ensure product safety and quality
Review shift logs and plant status throughout the workday
Operate, control, inspect, and troubleshoot various soybean processing equipment, and document as needed
Make regular process adjustments to maintain operating parameters as needed
Collect, record, and perform necessary process control tests, and document as neededCollect and process quality product samples
Maintain general housekeeping of the plant and plant facilities
Recognize signs of operational failure and proceed and act accordingly
Cross train in all processes
Obtain Process Safety Management Certification
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a safety-conscious and highly quality-controlled environment
Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
2 years of experience as a process technician or completed or actively working towards a 2-year process technician degree
