Experience as a line cook
Self-starter, able to see tasks that need to be completed and takes the initiative to complete them
Ability to work both independently and as a team
Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
An interest and willingness to learn more, listen, and take constructive feedback
Enthusiasm for working with a diverse team
Conversational Spanish helpful but not required
Evenings, weekends, and Sunday availability is a must !
Your Impact As a Hippo Pockets line cook you will aid in the cooking and preparation of the delicious food that creates a fun and memorable experience for our guests. Although Hippo Pockets works to create a welcoming ambiance for guests, it is the food that keeps them coming back for more. As a Hippo Pocket’s line cook you will aid in service through:
cooking food to order, following the company’s spec sheets
reading food tickets thoughtfully and paying close attention to modifications and any listed allergens
delivering food in goal ticket times
communicating effectively with other employees to complete orders
following safety and sanitation guidelines
assisting with daily temperature and line checks
consistently and effectively completing opening and closing tasks in a timely manner
assisting with stocking organizing and cleaning food lines
