Warehouse Associate – Boar’s Head Distributor
Location: Essex, CT
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (Early Morning Start)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Job Description We are a growing Boar’s Head distributor seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper product handling, and maintaining the high-quality standards Boar’s Head is known for.
Responsibilities
Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately for daily delivery routes
Receive and rotate inventory (FIFO required)
Maintain clean, organized warehouse and cooler/freezer areas
Verify product codes, quantities, and expiration dates
Assist with loading delivery trucks as needed
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures
Work efficiently in refrigerated environments
Requirements
Previous warehouse or food distribution experience preferred (not required)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Comfortable working in cold storage areas
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
