Class Summary Adjunct position for lecture/lab/clinical site visits for Radiologic Technology students. Positions will be based on program needs.

Qualifications Three years full-time experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Knowledgeable of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience Prior experience as a didactic or clinical instructor in a radiologic technology program. Proficient in course development, instruction, evaluation, supervision, and academic advising. Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or education.
Communicate effectively in written and oral communication. Knowledgeable in instruction, evaluation, supervision, and academic advising. Technology literate. Detailed knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, and use of various types of imaging equipment.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills Prior teaching, supervision, and evaluation experience.
Job Duties
Preparing and maintaining course outlines, syllabus, objectives, and outcomes.
Instructing and evaluating students (in the classroom, lab, and/or clinical facility), and reporting progress in a timely manner.
Participate in the accreditation and assessment process.
Participating in periodic review and revision of course materials.
Support the program director to ensure effective program operations.
Maintaining current knowledge of professional discipline.
Maintaining appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development.
Maintain student records in accordance with established technology-based programs.
Attends Advisory Committee and program staff meetings.
Maintain required student advisement hours and provide student advising.
Address student concerns in a timely manner.
Promote retention and persistence by assisting students to develop strategies for success.
Communicate with staff, faculty, clinical preceptors and/or staff technologists addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
Coach students in professional behavior.
Licensing/Certification Requirements Holds current unencumbered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration. Current unencumbered Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license (or obtain within one month of hire).
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stoop, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist in patient care and transport in the clinical facility.
Teaching opportunities will include day, evening, and weekends.
Able to travel to various clinical facilities.
Proof of immunizations are required by all clinical sites.
