Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Serve and support the mission of Mary Our Queen School to form students of faith who pursue academic excellence and live in Christian service.
Develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long‑term scope and sequence aligned to the Archdiocese curriculum/Nebraska state standards and in collaboration with other grade levels and specialty teachers.
Use a variety of rigorous formative and summative assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of all students.
Effectively communicate with parents and school staff on student progress.
Establish clear expectations and routines that align with school‑wide values and policies.
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Model and share the Catholic faith, integrating its teachings and values into daily instruction and the life of the classroom.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of subject matter and implement best instructional practices.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with a grade‑level team, and build a strong rapport with all stakeholders.
Effectively contribute to our school community in a positive and professional manner.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's of Science Degree – Elementary or Middle School
Valid NE Teaching Certificate
Experience in teaching intermediate grades is preferred but not required
Safe Environment Certified (or willing to be trained)
