Hourly Competitive Starting Pay – $19.85/hr Comprehensive Health Insurance, Retirement Benefits and More Position Summary
Production Utility is responsible for performing all facets of all positions within a specific department. Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within the quality and food safety parameters established. This position requires problem solving responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Cover all department positions in absences Responsible for setting up line and equipment Follow product specification sheet for instructions Accurately fill out all required Food Safety, Quality paperwork and DCS checks Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
Continuous standing in one location for long periods (up to 2‑3 hours before break) Walking long distances, sometimes on wet, uneven and slippery surfaces Climbing or moving ladders, steps, stairwells and platforms Carrying, lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling heavy or awkward objects or loads Lifting and lowering objects up to 60 lbs. Pushing or pulling heavy roller carts, bins, or transport containers Frequent contact with animal fats Frequent static and/or awkward work postures with neck and spine flexion while grasping, pinching, pulling, lifting, extending, flexing the hands and arms Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction from supervisors and designated staff in English Additional essential functions may be applicable to specific jobs Supervisory Responsibilities
This position occasionally has supervisory responsibilities when covering for lead’s absence. Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in Meat Industry preferred, but not required Must possess problem solving skills and leadership qualities Competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies Maintain regular and predictable attendance Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime depending upon production demands Ability to learn multiple positions Must meet performance expectations for the position being covered Must be mechanically inclined Detail oriented Must have Mathematical skills Must be able to operate a motortruck and/or forklift Must be able to lockout/tag out equipment Must have the ability to use computerized equipment Seniority Level
