The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse by tracking, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products. This role ensures accurate processing of customer orders, maintains inventory records, and upholds a clean and safe work environment. The position requires collaboration with the local operations team, interaction with shipping companies and vendors, and occasional off‑hours accessibility. Success in this role depends on strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Description
Processes customer orders by pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area.
Manages inventory per established work practices.
Verifies materials and supplies received from vendors and documents transactions in computerized control systems.
May operate forklift or other machinery to load, unload, sort, stage, and transport product.
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment by placing products in the correct location and keeping the area free of debris.
Participates in inventory records verification and maintenance and in cycle count procedures.
Interacts with shipping companies, purchasing, customer services, and/or branch management.
Works closely with the local operations team supporting day‑to‑day operations of the Hillsboro site as required.
Off‑hours accessibility (laptop and cell phone) is occasionally required. After‑hour call‑ins are occasionally required.
Qualifications
Must possess good leadership, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills and be able to work without constant supervision.
Must be a team player and able to interact with the local operations team to support its goals.
Desired Qualifications
High School degree required.
2+ years’ experience in a plant or manufacturing environment is desired.
Strong technical or mechanical background desired.
Strong computer skills expected. Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
JDE and EAM skills preferred.
