Key Responsibilities

Administer IV’s and run fluid therapy for the intravenous process.

Monitor the client’s response to treatment.

Manage and prevent infections.

Assess the client’s physical health, including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, etc.

Identify contraindications to intravenous therapy for the client.

Take client’s vitals as needed.

Documents interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services, assessment, and responses/reactions to treatment.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

Active

Registered Nurse (RN)

license in the state of Texas.

Experience

Minimum of

1 yearof IV infusion or vascular access experience

Strong proficiency in peripheral IV access and catheter placement

Skills

Excellent IV insertion and monitoring skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking abilities

Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office

Clear, compassionate verbal and written communication

High attention to detail with strong multitasking abilities

Exceptional customer service and patient-centered mindset

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

Dependable, adaptable, and committed to professional growth

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak clearly and hear normal conversations

Frequent use of hands for continuous typing and computer navigation

Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment to

20/20

(with or without correction)

Ability to lift up to

50 lbs unassisted

and

100 lbs assisted

Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for extended periods

Full or part-time available
