Position Overview
Lincoln County School District #1 is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant High School Football Coach to support and strengthen our football program. The ideal candidate is committed to developing student‑athletes both on and off the field while promoting academic success, sportsmanship, character development, and community pride.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing a comprehensive football program for grades 7–12.
Help plan and lead practices, conditioning sessions, games, and off‑season development.
Teach fundamental football skills, position‑specific techniques, strategy, and teamwork while prioritizing student safety.
Support game preparation, scouting, film review, and practice organization.
Assist with equipment management, inventory, and field setup.
Foster positive relationships with student‑athletes, parents, staff, and the community.
Uphold and enforce district, state, and athletic association policies and procedures.
Support academic success and monitor student‑athlete eligibility.
Participate in team, community, and booster club events as requested.
Qualifications
Previous coaching experience preferred.
Valid Wyoming PTSB assistant coach permit (or ability to obtain).
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor to student‑athletes.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must pass a background check per district requirements.
