Description The objective of this position is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by assisting the Driver with by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures. Assuring shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged product, proper count of goods at customer locations, assuring inventory levels are FIFO in the customer locations.
Salary $18.00 per hour

The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly

Minimum Driver Helper Requirements
18 Years of age.
Minimum 1 year driver helper experience.
Must be able to work in incremental weather
Must have reliable transportation
Must be comfortable working overnight and weekends
Must be a team player
Lifting, bending, and moving for long hours
Assisting drivers to find delivery locations
Compiling accurate delivery records and reports
Reporting all delivery-related problems to senior staff
Effectively communicating with clients and customers to resolve complaints
Liaising with the main office or the warehouse logistics team to notify the driver of any changes to daily routes
Assisting with the unloading of the delivery vehicle at the end of each shift
Ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to
Delivery week: Sunday evening through Saturday morning
Accountabilities Assures all tasks are preformed according to company policies and procedures
Assures workplace safety – getting out of truck and assisting with backing up from outside the truck, staying awake with Driver during trips, watching road and being another set of eyes on the road.
Load and unload products from trucks or trailers
Put product away based at customer locations based on customer specifications
Assists Maintain the vehicle and equipment clean and safe
Assists with vehicle inspections before and after each trip
Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks
Make sure inventory being delivered matches manifest
Report any incident to supervisor immediately
Attention to detail in all aspects of the safe transportation of food products food ware-housing practices and documentation
Follow all company and state-enforced safety requirements for loading and unloading products
