Safety Note
The position is safety‑sensitive and requires pre‑employment drug screening, including for non‑psychoactive THC.
Responsibilities
Repairs and warranty repair on various types of boats, boat motors; outboards, I/O’s, etc.
Perform routine maintenance.
Rig new engine installs.
Rig new trolling motor & fish finder installs.
Winterizing duties and shrink‑wrapping.
Use diagnostic tools to test/set up engine components.
Perform regular trailer maintenance, bearing, and brake service.
Unload boats, shop cleaning, etc.
Qualifications
Marine technician certification or previous marine technician experience.
Knowledge of tools and ability to own the full set of specialized tools for on‑site use.
Knowledge of shop equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Deadline and detail‑oriented.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
High regard for cleanliness and respect for others’ property.
Good customer service skills; you will be asked to discuss certain repairs directly with customers.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
1 to 3 years of related experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Boat Technician Certification (Mercruiser, Volvo, etc.).
Compensation
$2500 Sign‑on Bonus!
6‑month $2500 Bonus!
60,000 – 90,000 annual equivalent DOE.
