The Residential HVAC Installer Helper assists Lead Installers with the installation of residential heating and cooling systems. This entry‑level position focuses on learning proper installation techniques, jobsite safety, and company standards while supporting efficient and high-quality system installations in residential homes and new construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Lead Installer with installation of residential HVAC systems, including:
Furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and mini‑split systems
Help with removal of old equipment and jobsite preparation
Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from jobsite
Assist with installing ductwork, line sets, condensate drains, and registers
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite at all times
Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE
Observe and learn proper installation methods and best practices
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately as directed by the Lead Installer
Communicate respectfully with homeowners and team members
Assist with cleanup and job close‑out
Qualifications
Previous construction or mechanical experience is helpful but not required
Willingness to learn residential HVAC installation
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Valid driver’s license (preferred)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Basic hand and power tool experience
Interest in a long‑term career in HVAC
Trade school or vocational training (a plus)
Training & Advancement
On‑the‑job training provided
Opportunity to advance to HVAC Installer or Service Technician
Company‑supported training and certifications
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Residential homes and new construction sites
Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and confined spaces
Physical labor includes lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
