Conduct daily pre‑tripandpost‑trip inspections of vehicles with proper documentation in accordance with DOT guidelines.
Assist with loadingandunloading materialsandequipment.
Monitor vehicle gauges during operationandmaintain accurate mileage logs.
Always follow all company policiesandsafety procedures.
Adhere to applicable lawsanddispatch instructions.
Ensure product quality through proper handling procedures.
Perform minor servicingandmaintenance of equipment; elevate major issues to supervisors.
Keep vehicles cleanandorganized.
Maintain regularandreliable attendance.
Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Must obtain a CDL B Permit from the local DMV.
Work Requirements
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to obtain a valid CDL permit.
Successful completion of DOT physical, drug screening, and criminal background check.
Possession of a valid DOT medical card.
Strict adherence to safety standardsandcompany policies.
Team player willing to assist co‑workersandsupervisors as needed.
Demonstrate professionalismandcourtesy to colleaguesandthe public.
Maintain a current driver’s license meeting stateandcompany requirements (CDL, Class B).
Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet companyandDOT standards.
Ability to work up to six days per week, including significant overtime (55-70 hours/week), per DOT ready mix exemption laws.
Willingness to travelandwork away from home as required.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends,and varying schedules.
Commitment to training employees with a CDL Class B license, even if they lack driving experience.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by OSHA/MSHA, including face shield, safety shoes, and safety vest.
Compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations.
Knowledge & Skills
The ability to learnanddemonstrate operational skills with mixer trucksandrelated equipment.
Basic reading, writing,and math skills for recordsand project documents.
Operate equipment safelyandefficiently in diverse conditions.
Comprehendandfollow verbalandwritten instructions.
Communicate effectively both verballyandin writing.
Work well independently and as part of a team, maintaining attention to detail.
Operate heavy, complex equipment with skilland independent judgment.
Familiarity with securing heavy equipmentandoversized loads.
Professional interaction with customers, including payment collectionand issue resolution.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed. Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
