Qualifications
Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Position Overview Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. The role includes assisting customers with bakery purchases, cleaning shelving and display cases, maintaining self‑serve displays that are in the front of the store and adjacent to the store bakery, taking special orders, collaborating with the Baker to determine which items may need to be baked or decorated, and helping department cleaning by hosing down the floors with soap and water to ensure department cleanliness. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.
Certifications Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
