Steakhouse Host Person Location: Edgewater (Laughlin, NV)

Job Description Maintains the reservation book by taking reservations and walk‑ins. Greets guests and escorts them to the appropriate table. Assists the manager in preparing the venue for service and maintaining the cleanliness and flow of the room.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members.

Answer the telephone within 3 rings to book reservations.

Maintain the reservation book with guest name, phone number, time, and party size.

Maintain the professional appearance of the hostess stand.

Properly present clean menus to guests.

Clean, disinfect, and inspect all menus, discarding worn ones.

Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting.

Supply guests with information on services available at the hotel/casino, including all restaurants.

Handle initial guest complaints; inform manager immediately of any problems or concerns.

Ensure that all tables are properly set at the start of each shift.

Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations as they apply.

Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to guests and team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well‑groomed manner.

Proven experience in a full‑service restaurant preferred.

Superior guest service skills.

Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and team members.

Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.

Verify right to work in the United States.

Be at least 16 years of age.

Walking and standing most of the shift.

Vision, speech, literacy and hearing (critical).

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
