The Facilities & Purchasing Coordinator provides centralized procurement, inventory, and operational support for the Purchasing Department and the Engineering/Facilities Department. This position ensures efficient purchasing processes, maintains accurate documentation and inventory systems, supports departmental operations, coordinates internal and external communications, and assists with logistical functions essential to hospital operations. This position works in close collaboration with the Engineering leadership to support inventory control, facilities procurement planning, and operational coordination. Duties/Responsibilities: Purchasing & Procurement

Assist in maintaining and following policies and procedures for acquiring and documenting materials, parts, and supplies for daily operations. Create purchase orders and requisitions in Meditech; verify receipts, packing slips, and requisitions and route for approval. Coordinate with Purchasing Department on incoming orders, returns, and vendor communications. Support purchasing operations related to ordering, shipping, receiving, and interdepartmental coordination. Monitor inventory levels, anticipate supply needs, place orders, and follow up to ensure timely delivery. Work with Engineering staff to order materials, parts, tools, equipment, and office supplies. Maintain Engineering inventory systems for parts, tools, PPE, uniforms, carts, and equipment. Maintain Engineering shop organization and inventory. Maintain District vehicles, including preventative maintenance scheduling, vendor service coordination, cleaning, and fueling. Organize and maintain Engineering blueprints, construction files, and equipment manuals. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and suppliers to ensure effective communication, quality, pricing, and reliability. Coordinate ordering of equipment and furniture and ensure timely delivery. Ensure compliance with established ordering and approval processes under the District’s Ordering Guidelines. Administrative & Operational Support

Provide administrative and clerical support including documentation, filing, data entry, correspondence, and reporting. Serve as departmental point of contact for purchasing and logistics inquiries. Support work order systems, ESS processes, email communications, and procedural documentation Coordinate deliveries, pickups, and Medical Records storage as needed. Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong administrative, organizational, and reporting skills. Knowledge of purchasing, supply management, and inventory control practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Meditech, and work order systems. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality. Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required. 3 – 5 years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing, procurement, facilities operations, inventory management, or related administrative functions, preferably in a healthcare environment. Ability to Commute:
