PCSI is looking for a
Warehouse Specialist I
as directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan.
This position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor/Project Manager and is based in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA.
Three shifts: 7:30am-4pm, 3:30pm-11pm, and 11pm-7:30am.

What You'll Do as a Warehouse Specialist I:
Perform a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan.
Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, note and report discrepancies and obvious damages; route materials to prescribed storage locations; store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Perform warehouse functions including receiving, storing, moving and shipping inventory using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).
Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials; examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage; and remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
Perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the site in which employed and receiving incoming shipments. Follow established guidelines for day-to-day routine tasks.
Handle unusual non-routine problems by receiving specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
Primary purpose is to perform any necessary or required grounds maintenance duties.
Report all accidents/incidents to Supervisor.
Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or GED.
OSHA certified forklift operator.
One (1) or more years of experience in warehouse operations.
Working knowledge of Navy Supply Operating System (ERP).
Class A CDL preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Utilize normal material handling equipment (MHE) including pallet jacks, VIDMAR systems, and forklifts.
Utilize ERP AIT devices.
Lift, move and set down lightweight parts under 45 pounds without use of MHE.
Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, push loaded part carts, boxes of parts; climb stairs or ladders and work in confined spaces.
Communicate both orally and/or in written format expertly.
Follow guidelines to arrange objects or actions in a certain order.
Have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy.
Interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Work in a fast-paced environment with ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Other Requirements:
Pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
Work outside in inclement weather as needed; be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
Work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
Obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s) if required.
