Purchasing & Logistics Specialist

Full-Time Monday–Friday
Pay:
$28-32/hour

What You’ll Do
Manage assigned product categories to support accurate parts planning and availability
Ensure continuous supply and optimal inventory levels across product lines
Create, execute, and track purchase orders with suppliers, including lead‑time confirmation
Review minimum stock levels against sales trends and usage data
Identify and reduce excess or obsolete inventory
Support warehouse space optimization and efficient storage utilization
Work to established timelines and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while monitoring performance
Participate in cost‑reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure vendor compliance with internal quality and operational standards
Perform departmental administrative duties related to purchasing and logistics
Analyze and resolve purchasing discrepancies and supply issues
Utilize efficient logistics methods for inbound product flow
Manage urgent and priority purchase orders to meet customer delivery requirements

Must‑Haves
Minimum of 2 years experience in planning, procurement, or purchasing
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced distribution environment
Proactive, flexible, and results‑driven mindset
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, or related field
Experience working in distribution, logistics, or regulated manufacturing environments
Vendor negotiation and cost optimization experience
