Overview & Responsibilities Patient Service Technician – Local Delivery Driver: Drive local routes to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and durable medical equipment in patients’ homes. Educate and assist patients and caregivers, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Available for on‑call assignments after business hours or weekends.
Deliver and set up medical equipment in patients’ homes.
Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of equipment.
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety.
Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time.
Keep the assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service.
Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on‑call rotations.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Background check (individualized assessment).
Drug screen (when applicable).
Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process (when applicable).
Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable).
Required Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
Preferred Education & Experience
Experience with medical equipment (preferred).
One year of related work experience (preferred).
Medical terminology (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations.
Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written.
Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information.
Multi‑task and pay attention to detail.
Self‑motivation, organized, time‑management, and deductive problem‑solving skills.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Machines, Equipment & Technical Abilities
Email transmission and communication.
Internet navigation and research.
Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Office equipment: fax machine, copier, printer, phone, computer, and tablet.
Mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment.
Load, unload, and tie‑down cargo per company policy.
Understand use of home respiratory equipment and supplies.
Physical Demands
Lift and carry office equipment at times.
Require sitting, walking, standing, talking, and listening.
Require close vision for small print on computer or tablet and paperwork.
Lift (minimum 65 pounds) and transport patient equipment.
Contact patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens.
Drive a company vehicle for the majority of the workday.
Require compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy – including medical evaluation, fit testing, annual recertification, and clean‑shaven face for optimal seal.
