Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ESL Teacher to join the team at the Islamic Center of Detroit. As an ESL Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality English language instruction to students of varying ages and backgrounds. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals and make a positive impact on their lives. Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the needs and goals of the students Teach English language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, to students Assess students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve their language skills Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and effective learning experience Communicate regularly with students to provide updates on progress and address any concerns Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience teaching ESL to students of varying ages and backgrounds Knowledge of second language acquisition theories and teaching methodologies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to adapt to the needs and schedules of students This is a part-time position with flexible hours.
