Job Summary Responsible for picking up and delivering laboratory specimens, reports and supplies, pharmaceuticals, medical/surgical equipment, medical records, and documents during the shift. Handles STAT pick‑ups as requested. Assists in the laboratory with checking requisitions and performing specimen record entries using LIS and HIS for order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation. Also answers phone calls and delivers samples for testing, assists with processing as needed, and completes other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid and clean NYS driver's license.
Associate's degree.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Flexible, dependable, able to work well under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of prior clinical laboratory experience.
Work Days Tuesday—Saturday 10:30 PM–7:00 AM.
