Project Manager/Estimator (Finance)
Overview Whiting‑Turner, a National ENR Top 25 General Contractor, seeks a qualified project manager for various commercial projects in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, team‑based environment that values employees and fosters a positive culture.
Qualifications
3 to 20+ years of industry experience and a track record of delivering complex projects with minimal delays and a focus on delighting the customer.
Extensive pre‑construction and estimating skills; this will be the main focus of the role.
Leadership and mentorship within a diverse team.
Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
Knowledge of construction principles and ambition to succeed/advance.
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management, Construction Technology.
Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
Practitioner of innovation and continuous improvement.
Experience managing financial impacts on site.
Proven ability to plan, schedule and coordinate subcontract trades.
Ability to interface well with owners, architects, engineers, including on‑site management team.
Subcontract award/buy‑out experience.
Scope writing/definition.
Change order presentation & negotiation.
Preparation of schedules and progress management.
Project accounting skills.
Scheduling / software experience.
Salary Range The base salary range for this position represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting and is dependent on a number of factors including but not limited to role, level, relevant education, experience, training, skills and abilities, location, and market and business considerations. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of the various factors identified above. The foregoing information reflects base salary only and does not include other forms of available compensation to which employees may be entitled including but not limited to profit sharing, appreciation rights, retirement compensation, travel subsistence, holiday contribution, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, healthcare (including dental and vision benefits), life insurance, disability insurance, and other compensations/benefits, which are dependent upon various factors including but not limited to years of service, location, performance, etc. The annual base salary range listed is subject to change at any time, in the Company's discretion, and does not alter in any way the at‑will nature of the employment relationship.
