Position Summary:

The concierge position requires a passion for people and dedication to providing superior customer service at all times within the senior housing setting. The concierge position is often demanding and fast‑paced, requiring excellent time management and problem‑solving skills. On a daily basis the concierge will interact with residents and guests from varied backgrounds and walks‑of‑life, and therefore an amicable personality and unflappable disposition are a must for a successful concierge. The hours for the role are every other weekend 2:30pm—8:30pm. Essential Job Functions:

Demonstrates superior customer service at all times and a genuine desire to serve. Warmly greets and directs residents and guests arriving to or departing from the property. Maintains an active presence at the Front Desk. Monitors and announces visitors and controls access to the property. Handles all concierge duties with enthusiasm including, but not limited to: processing incoming mail and outgoing packages; answering questions, making recommendations, and making arrangements on items such as transportation, restaurant reservations, health and beauty services, and cultural events; travel and meeting planning; delivering dry cleaning; and coordinating housekeeping or other community‑specific services (for example, dog walking). Adheres to company standards for resident and guest services. Reports to Lead Concierge or Executive Assistant any resident or guest dissatisfaction. Performs other job‑related duties as directed. Directs visitors and guests to appropriate office or residents’ apartment. Offer assistance and guidance to residents and staff. Assists with administrative duties as directed. Receives and follows the front desk concierge schedule and instructions from supervisor. Receives requests from within the community and locates personnel through the paging system. Handles emergency PERS and fire alarms per Cloverwood’s procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure residents rights are protected. Qualifications

A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the following knowledge and skills: High School or GED Minimum of one year job experience Job Requirements

Requires ability to relate and be respectful to a wide variety of people and provide superior customer service to all including Residents, co‑workers, vendors, family members and visitors. Must wear employee badge at all times while on‑the‑job. Must report to work on time and adhere to attendance policy. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding information about Resident, co‑workers, vendors, family members and visitors. Expectations of the Position: Dependable, report to work on‑time for every schedule shift (ready to work at beginning - start of shift) and work full schedule shifts unless physically unable or pre‑approved Paid Time Off (PTO) which includes personal and vacation. Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required by the position and/or approved by management. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be clean and neat in appearance and have a “friendly” service‑oriented, cooperative, demeanor and supports Culture of Excellence initiatives by interactions with co‑workers and/or Residents. Abide by work‑related / job procedures and organization policies; (refer to the Employee Handbook). Conditions of Employment

Work is performed in a clean, well lit office community setting. Employee must be able to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply). Physical Requirements

May be requested to assist in the evacuation of Residents or perform other procedures to protect the safety of Residents, visitors and team members during emergency situations.
