Discovery Ranch South
Discovery Ranch South is dedicated to fostering an enriching educational environment within our therapeutic treatment center for young women. We are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher's Aide (TA) to support our educational team in delivering engaging and effective science instruction in Biology, Earth Science and Chemistry to our 7 - 12th grade students.
The Science Teacher's Aide will work closely with our licensed Science Teacher to assist with classroom instruction, help students access learning materials, and provide one-on-one support as needed. This role is vital in ensuring our students continue their academic progress while participating in therapeutic programs at Discovery Ranch South.
Responsibilities include creating a positive learning environment, assisting with lesson delivery, providing administrative support, and contributing to a holistic approach that addresses students' emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Provide evidence of completing 48 college credit hours OR an Associate's Degree
21+ years of age
Eligible to work in the USA
Able to pass a background check
Able to pass a motor vehicle record check
Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
CPR & First Aid certification (we provide)
Aegis certification (we provide)
Preferred Qualifications
Some relevant college education in science fields
Experience working with teenagers in an educational or therapeutic setting
