We are seeking a Seasonal HR Recruiter who will play a crucial part in creating our 2026 US OPEN team!
Start Date:
March 23rd, 2026
End Date:
September 13th, 2026
Schedule before US Open 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Flexible to working weekends for events (job fairs).
Schedule during US Open Working up to 12 hours per day, Mon-Sun. Flexible to working an opening, mid, or closing shift.
The Role
Need to be available to work 3 days a week starting in March/April, 5 days a week starting May and 7 days a week from mid-August to early-September to meet recruiting needs and support event operations
Manage the internal and external recruitment processes using a variety of sources and methods: internet advertising, direct sourcing, etc
Maintain thorough knowledge of HR policies and procedures, communication of all relevant information to new hires and returning employees
Assess needs and determine successful candidate profiles by working with department managers
Generate weekly staffing reports, while adhering to all staffing deadlines as defined by the HR Leadership
Assist new and returning employees with the onboarding process and collection of training certificates
Work with hiring managers to ensure employees' start dates are consistent and up to date with hiring needs
Interview and evaluate behavioral and technical skills of candidates to select a high quality hire
Assist with recruiting and onboarding seasonal staff for non-US Open events
Represent the USTA at assigned job fairs and recruit students into the USTA careers network
Post and update all job postings for assigned positions/departments
Delegate tasks amongst HR Assistants
Report all employee relations issues to HR Leadership
Assist with the distribution of credential badges and uniforms
Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
Strong interest in Human Resources
Minimum 2 years of HR experience, with prioritization on recruiting experience
BA/equivalent degree in HR or similar field preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments
Must be able to meet recruiting deadlines
Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suites
Excellent written and verbal communication
Must possess exemplary interpersonal and customer service skills
Bilingual: English+Spanish preferred
Experience working with HRIS/ATS systems strongly preferred
Must be able to work in fast-paced high-stress environment
Hourly Pay $23/hr, overtime eligible; daily meal allowance provided during tournament
