Position Description The

Guest Experience Associate

is responsible for providing outstanding hospitality and customer service to our many visitors from all over the world and ensuring every guest experience is a positive one from first contact to final departure. Previous customer service experience is a plus.

Shifts are

8:15am - 5:15pm and 8:30 - 5:30pm.

Associates are expected to work 3- 8 hour shifts per week.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Greets and welcomes guests to the site and informs them of the various programming and activities available.

Assists guests with wayfinding around the site.

Provides information and monitors conduct of visitors and adherence to site rules at assigned posts.

Engages with guests and answers questions about the history of the site and the area (information will be provided in training).

Assists guests with queue forming for entry into the Church and other public spaces.

Monitors and controls visitor flow into the Church and other public spaces.

Sells Audio Tours, Guided Tours, and other products at our Welcome Center.

Provides professional, efficient, and approachable support and excellent customer service to guests and staff alike.

Liaises with contracted staff (Photogenic & Event Network) to ensure smooth visitor operations and a superior guest experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Must have excellent customer service skills.

Must be able to speak with confidence and warmth with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Must be able to maintain a calm and professional manner even under pressure and amidst large crowds.

Must be reliable, flexible, and punctual.

Must be able to work some weekend days and holidays and/or extended hours if required.

Must be able to work during peak visitation times such as summer and holiday seasons.

Must be willing to work both inside and outside in adverse weather conditions including rain, extreme cold, and extreme heat and humidity.

Satisfactory completion of background check and post‑offer drug and alcohol testing.

Above all, must have the desire to provide world class hospitality at Texas’s most visited and important destination.
