As a Bartender, you will play a key role in delivering a laid‑back yet refined guest experience by crafting high‑quality beverages and connecting with guests in true Tommy Bahama style.

Salary Rate: $16.90/hr

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

Create classic and signature cocktails with consistency, flair, and attention to detail

Provide warm, personalized service that reflects Tommy Bahama’s relaxed and upscale environment

Engage guests with genuine hospitality, offering drink recommendations and insights into the resort’s offerings

Maintain an inviting, clean, and well-stocked bar that adheres to health and safety standards

Accurately handle POS transactions, tabs, and cash/credit card payments

Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws and company policies

Collaborate with the resort's culinary and service teams to ensure a seamless guest experience

Participate in resort events and themed promotions as needed

Stay informed about seasonal menus, resort happenings, and local attractions to enhance guest interaction

Duties and Responsibilities

A warm personality, attentive, and presentable.

Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the bar area (sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, wiping counters etc.)

Maintains cleanliness of walk‑ins and reach‑in coolers

Ensures cleanliness of bar utensils and glassware during and after service

Ensures opening, ongoing and closing side work is complete

Starts the day counting an opening bank, ability to make proper change for cash orders

Ensures end of shift bank is balanced with appropriate procedures followed in daily drop

Obtains credit cards or room information to begin tabs

Must ensure bookkeeping and proper payment is received

Maintains seasonal liquor, beer and wine pars

Properly reports tips and hours at the end of each shift using the proper documents for recording

Ensures supplies/ingredients are properly stocked before, during and after shift

Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude

Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Miramonte Resort dress code standards

Performs other related duties as assigned

Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages according to recipe

Able to make basic cocktails that will be requested by guests outside of the drink menu, with the ability to look things up and adhere to drink requests if not known

Adheres to all RBS, ABC, and Food Handlers standards as well as all Miramonte Resort policies

Takes food and beverages orders, using POS system to ring items in

Checks identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase/consumption

Offers menu advice and suggestions to guests

Maintains a strong knowledge of beverage trends

Provides general resort and area information for guests

Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events

Upsells other resort services and amenities to guests

Communicates all pertinent information about guests or menu/cocktail changes to the Grapefruit & Basil dining team

Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons) reporting all safety incidents to Manager on Duty

Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articles shall be removed from occupied guest spaces. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.

Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction

Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness

Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Miramonte Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest

Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information and help if needed

Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time

Qualifications Prerequisites:

Excellent communication and listening skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.

Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Possess valid RBS certification.

Possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.

Able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.

Be highly detail oriented.

Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Possesses excellent communication skills.

Be professional in appearance and demeanor.

Always ensure a teamwork environment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.

Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience in a high‑end resort, restaurant, or hospitality setting

Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, beer, and spirits

Excellent interpersonal skills with a guest‑first attitude

Ability to multitask in a high‑volume environment while maintaining a calm, positive demeanor

Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol

Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during resort peak seasons

Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred

Riverside County Food Handler Certification preferred

Education/Experience

At least one‑year bartender experience preferred

At least one‑year food & beverage experience preferred

At least six months experience with POS systems preferred

Able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.

Able to be outdoors in all weather.

Able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, squeezing, shaking, overhead reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.
