Genesis10 is currently seeking a Production/Technical Support with our client in the financial industry located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities
Work as an application support analyst primarily supporting the Underwriting application space
Responsible for Incident Management and conducting proper problem follow-up
Proactively monitor and manage the production environment
Troubleshoot and resolve application problems including but not limited to job failures, feed management, monitoring, etc.
Improve and or create documentation of support policies and procedures
Understand the business processes supported by the system
Support application releases, implementations, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment
Ensure continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms
Track progress and accelerate as appropriate unless resolution reached
Ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept current
Maintain a knowledge base of known defects and issues, process, techniques, etc.
Take part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems
Build strong partnership with Development, Infrastructure and platform teams
Requirements
5+ years of experience in development or production support
5+ years in following: Oracle Database, SQL Server Database, PostgreSQL, UNIX, Windows, MQ, MuleSoft
Ability to solve production down situations under tight SLA deadlines, including root cause and problem resolution follow-up
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to organize time, work on multiple tasks, and follow tasks and projects through to completion, while keeping all interested parties properly updated
